Physical Therapy

Physical therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education. They examine each person and develop a treatment plan to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

Our physical therapists strive to make those we serve more functional, as this contributes to personal independence. The comfort of everyone we serve is equally important, as this comfort level complements our rehabilitative work.

We use manual therapy and exercise for improved functional mobility, endurance with physical activity and pain management for overall wellness. Here, our Physical Therapist Assistant is assessing the client’s joint range of motion (commonly assessed throughout treatment) to improve or maintain flexibility and mobility.

This is a stretching exercise or early stage mobilization exercise (called cod man/pendulum exercise) to help improve flexibility in the shoulder joint in a pain free range. Benefits increase flow of nutrients in joints, improve mobility, and reduce pain in joints.

The treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery. By making use of the appropriate modalities, Care First can heighten the effectiveness of recovery and care efforts and unlike the medication approach, accomplish therapeutic goals in shorter time periods.
